Lady Gaga opens her Santa's Workshop at Barneys New York
22nd November 2011
Kooky cat Lady Gaga is getting into the Christmas spirit by opening her own version of Santa's Workshop at Barneys New York. Making a grand entrance last night, Gaga unveiled her own shopping emporium dubbed Gaga's Workshop.
Dressed in a giant Chanel white ballgown designed especially for her by Karl Lagerfeld, Gaga worked the look with a string of pearls, camellias, bows and black trim.
The pop-up shop consists of bright installations such a jewellery shop created out of a Gaga-esque spider, candy shop, toy shop, and an area in the shape of giant wig for those on the hunt for a special hair accessory for their loved ones this Christmas.
"There's all sorts of affordable presents here, and they are guilt free. It's the dream of what music and culture are all about, and these are things that can get lost when you focus too much on commercialism," she said.
