The music scene in North Carolina is growing at a fast past even though there is a lot of adversity when it comes to venues that will host Hip Hop shows, or spoken word. But nonetheless that doesn’t stop inspiring artist and promoters from giving it our all when it comes to what we love. This week I bring to you two young inspiring artist who through all the adversity still manage to keep their heads and give the people what they want.

Since the age of 13, Jarrod (Carta LouChie) Weavil has known music was his serenity! He started with a small jambox and a Yamaha keyboard. Freestyling and recording in his dads’ storage building to successfully incorporating his own production company to now record label in the state of North Carolina. Carta LouChie has attended Hip Hop Business Showcases in and around NC and has been recognized by A&R Anita Anderson with Sony/Universal Records. Also, he has been recognized and spoken personally with V-Love, C.E.O. of Capital Records in Los Angles, California. Using just what he had to work with back in the days to what he has built for himself now. Our female emcee in the spotlight is PRADA aka CHARM DIVA, 22 years young. Born and raised in Winston-Salem N.C. Lived with her mother Melissa and her two brothers by the names of Kris and Cory. Prada was brought up to be a very Independent woman. She always dreamed of being a star and being very famous. Prada has always loved music.
