The hip hop scene in NY is actually flourishing; we had a firsthand look at what's really going down. It seems that all the independent artists are performing and networking underground trying to bore a hole into the heavily guarded "Music Business Mountain". I've noticed that there is a fight going on right under our noses unknowingly. The industry is dying and the independent artists see an opportunity to move in for the kill. But the industry isn't going down easy. They still want to pretend like they are in control. Though this is so not the case. This is like watching a good boxing match. We'll see who comes out victorious! My money is on the Independents hands down....
Developmental Sound Labs Artist “L GUNZ” is making his way through the New York hip hop scene with a rock solid delivery and style that reminds one of the 90s.A time when lyrics hit harder than the watered down hip hop we are forced to listen to now. He is working in the Sound Lab on two projects, a mixtape and an album both bound to stamp LGUNZ's name on the underground and make wave in the hip hop world in general. Is hip hop ready for LGUNZ? I'm not sure but I'd be careful if I were you guys!
Hear some of his work on WCUT Radio and KryKey Personal Web Radio.
