KryKey Internet Radio Has Moved

KryKey Internet Radio Has Moved
25th February 2012

KryKey has just moved to new servers which are faster and a lot bigger, which will provide a much better experience for the radio stations and their listeners.

As the new servers are on new IP addresses, there maybe some access problems for some who's ISPs do not repopulate their DNS servers often. This is out of our control. But there are one of two things you can do, and they are:

  1. Command to reset, flush or clear your DNS cache for Vista, Windows 7, and WIndows 8 and these same directions work in versions of Windows after XP; however, you’ll need to gain admin privileges first: Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 directions for flushing the dns cache. They remember negative (DNS unable to resolve) entries for a few minutes. Often this can be a pain when moving and debugging sites. As long as that negative entry sits in your DNS cache, your box will continue to give you a cannot find server error. By cleaning out your DNS cache, you can fix this problem. Rebooting will flush your cache… but there is an easier way but sometimes this doesnt work if your ISP hasnt changed theirs. Drop to a command box and type: ipconfig /flushdns

  2. Open your network manager (in vista and Windows 7 this is your 'network and sharing center')
select 'change adapter settings' on the left hand side
select the adapter you are using and then right click and select properties
select 'internet protocol version 4 and then properties
check 'use the following dns server addresses'
type in the Open DNS of and and then save it all (you will also notice that accessing anything on the net will be quicker using these dns servers)
