8DH Net Radio was started by some ex-Darwin High School (the school is located in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia) students who used to run the original 8DH Radio Station at the school between 1975 and 1980.As such all the music you will here is between this period of time.8DH Radio Station played the music before school started, at the morning break, lunchtimes and sometimes after school. This just came in from the person who has been traveling around Australia adding the KryKey logo to all things BIG. This time the "Big Stubbie" has been KryKey'ed. So they started in Sydney and have now traveled up the East Coast of Australia, across from Queensland and now in the Northern Territory. Looks like they are now heading for Western Australia.

The Big Mango located in Queensland Australia is the latest 'Big' thing in Australia to be KryKey'ed!Three things are now becoming apparent in all these incidents in Australia: (1) The person that is doing it has traveled from the bottom of Australia near Melbourne and is traveling in an anti-clockwise direction up the coast and we assume around the country, (2) every where the person goes now it seems a person jumps into the photo and he is getting fans, and (3) the person seems to be having fun and it puts a smile on our faces.This latest KryKey'ing we were told was difficult as the Big Mango faces a road and that's why the logo is around the side so the person didn't get seen when they did it.We haven't heard from this person now for nearly 8 days and were wondering he he has been caught or is on his way to a new destination? The Big Pineapple is located in Queensland Australia and has been the next target of the person who has KryKey'ed 'big' things along the East Coast of Australia. For those who haven't heard or read about it, the person has been applying the KryKey Personal Web Radio logo on large tourist sites which have included: the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbor Bridge, the Big Ned Kelly, the Big Banana, the Big Prawn and now the Big Pineapple.Even when the person took a photo of the Big Pineapple a tourist stepped in for the shot! Does the "Phantom KryKey'er" now have fans? Also during the week the first international spot was KryKey'ed in Hyderabad India, which was the Charminar a building that was built in the late 1500's. You can see this photo is a previous Blog a few days ago.
So what is next? Will it be a big thing from Australia, or another location in the world?
What seems to be a dedicated and consistent plan, the guy who has so far KryKey'ed the Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Harbor Bridge, The Big Ned Kelly and The Big Banana has struck again and this time his target was The Big Prawn!The things we do know is : he is traveling up the East Coast of Australia, he likes to KryKey BIG things, he uses blue paint and a KryKey logo stencil.The things we don't know is his identity and his next target.We think it is funny, but if course we do not condone this action. The foundations of rock 'n' roll in Australia were laid during the Second World War when American servicemen brought the "jumpin' jive" of artists like Louis Jordan to Australia. The other basic component of rock 'n' roll, country "hillbilly" music, was already well established here in Australia. When the two came together in the mid-1950s, the new music quickly found an Australian audience and performers. The trigger was Bill Haley's performance of Rock around the Clock. Performers Allan Dale and the house rockers, Johnny OKeefe and the Dee Jays performed in the sytyle of Bill Haley and the Comets, Allan Dale was more a big band singer with a sophisticated and tuneful style but Johnny O'Keefe was where Australian Rock N Roll, raw and brash started forging it's roots playing in rough, brawling pubs and county towns.My father now in his 60's is still a big JOK fan, but loves what it became. Lets jump a Generation I'm in my early forties and I grew up with Rose Tattoo and Angry Anderson, Angus Young and Australia's favourites AC /DC who are almost single handedly responsible for Australian rock & roll today.
